Our Community

At Williams Beales & Co we believe in community spirit and have supported the local community since inception.

We continue to support the local community in a variety of ways including, amongst other things, donating and participating in local events, sponsorship and fundraising.

Some of our most recent contributions to the community include:-

Donations.

Our clients and colleagues helped us to donate - £143.74 to St Michael’s Hospice in November 2021 and £106.25 to the HELP (Helicopter Emergency Landing Pads) Appeal in January 2022. The firm also makes donations to the Black Mountains Lions Club a local charity based in Hay-on-Wye. These donations are facilitated through our donation collection tubs based in the office reception area.

The firm donated a free ‘simple Will’ to be sold as part of a charity fundraising auction organised by one of our Solicitors, for Target Ovarian Cancer.

Fundraising.

Our Practice & Compliance Manager, Sam Cook, is a dedicated contributor to charitable causes. Sam completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2023 in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer and is due to complete this again in 2024. She has also very recently completed a 56 mile walk over 2 days to fundraise for the junior section of Hay St Mary’s Football Club.

Community Events.

Our Solicitor, Samantha Reynolds, helps out with community events, in August 2021 she organised a raffle in aid of Lola’s Legacy (a local cause supporting SANDs and Hereford Hopsital maternity bereavement service) which saw a massive £2.5k raised as part of the charity event.

Sponsorship.

The firm regularly sponsors local sports teams including Hay St Mary’s Football Club and Gwernyfed RFC.

The firm is supporting the Golden Valley, Bredwardine Point-to-Point taking place on 21st May 2022.

Local Business.

We support local businesses where possible by, for instance, engaging local trades people and using services within the locality.
